Map of cultural institutions

Background

In November 2020, the Misto-sad team started exploring the cultural and public spaces of Donetsk and Luhansk regions in partnership with DG-East Ukraine.

Our common goal

Systematically improve the sphere of culture, sustainably develop institutions and effectively provide assistance to public centers.

For 6 months we searched the work of institutions in communities in the controlled territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The interactive map contains information about 558 institutions in 29 communities. In the context of incomplete decentralization and the process of forming united territorial communities at the time of research, we have more information about some united territorial communities and less about some.

To fill the map with high-quality data, we contacted representatives of local authorities, employees of institutions, went on 6 business trips to visit more than 200 locations and then communicated with local residents
